Ricks consulting focus has been on strategy development and implementation, organization design and process improvement. He has assisted growing companies to develop strategy and design their organizations and helped big companies streamline decision making, improve processes and reduce redundant costs embedded in their structure.
Rick is also expert in mobilizing entire organizations to quickly embrace new directions, from reorganizations to major strategic initiatives. He is an accomplished facilitator who has helped increase senior executive team effectiveness and coached CEO’s and business unit leaders.
Before founding Kensington, Rick spent 10 years at Marriott. He was a leader in directing company-wide initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. He served on the Lodging Executive Committee and was responsible for global management development.
Rick was an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business for 12 years, teaching strategy execution, leadership and organization design in the MBA and executive programs.
